Most entrepreneurs predict improved economic conditions in next 6 months

NEW DELHI: More than 61.8% of respondents from India have expressed faith in the economy and expect improvements in the economic scenario in the next six months, reports Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO).

In its latest 'Global Entrepreneur Indicator' (GEI) survey, EO concludes that optimism in India runs much higher than the global average of 48.4%.

Conducted in February this year, the survey also notes that 'majority of Indian entrepreneurs have reported increased business revenue (71.8%) and net profit (64.5%) as compared to global figures of 68.7% and 61.9%, respectively.'


Furthermore, over 70% of Indian respondents have also shown a willingness to start a business in the current economic environment, another indicator of their faith in the economy and expected growth.

Out of 4,480 entrepreneurs who participated in the recent GEI survey, 510 were Indian respondents.
