Indian vendors ship over 1.5 million products for Black Friday sale at Amazon US

BENGALURU: Indian ecommerce sellers have shipped over 1.5 million products to Amazon’s warehouses in the US for the big shopping weekend starting with Black Friday to Cyber Monday. This time of the year marks a shopping frenzy in the US, and this year, $5 billion in online sales were recorded on Black Friday, while on Cyber Monday, online sales are expected to reach $6.6 billion, as per reports citing Adobe Analytics.

Several sellers on Amazon India, who have been able to sell to shoppers in the US after the platform launched the global selling programme in 2015, shipped 50% more units this year compared to the last.

The global programme currently has over 26,000 sellers. The company did not share how many sellers had participated in the sales through the programme and the units they sold this Black Friday.
