Hielo Beverages to raise funding for expansion

The start-up, which sells premium packaged and flavoured water, and juices and jams under the brand name Peaur, has so far invested close to Rs 8 crore in the business.

A recent report by research and analytics firm Euromonito said start-ups focused on health drinks and beverages have mushroomed owing to health benefits they offer.
NEW DELHI: Two years after kicking off operations, packaged beverage start-up Hielo Peaur Beverages is looking to raise funds for expansion, company chief executive Piyush Mathur said. “Funding is part of our strategy as we expand operations and step up our footprint by 2020,” he said. He declined to divulge the size of funding the company was planning to raise.

The start-up, which sells premium packaged and flavoured water, and juices and jams under the brand name Peaur, has so far invested close to Rs 8 crore in the business, he said.

Having forayed in the consumer facing business with Hielo, Mathur, who left his family business of mining, said: “Consumers are resonating with premium products across categories. There is a ready market to be tapped.”
