Freshworks launches Freshping, a website monitoring tool for SMBs, following its acqusition of Insping

Up to 36% of the company’s revenues come from large customers while the remaining is from SMBs, Freshworks CEO Girish Mathrubootham had earlier indicated.

For large teams and enterprises that require monitoring of more than 50 websites, the company said that the pricing plan will start from $42 per month.
CHENNAI: Maker of customer engagement cloud software, Freshworks on Thursday launched Freshping, a real-time website monitoring tool drawing on its recently acquired product, Insping. Targeted at small and medium businesses, the company said that Freshping would be available to users free of cost and will allow them to monitor up to 50 websites/blogs, including platforms like WordPress, Medium, APIs and ports at one-minute intervals.

According to Freshworks, the new product’s integration with its flagship support tool Freshdesk will help its current clients’ support teams create tickets during website downtimes. Additionally, the integration would also help the teams collaborate with other internal teams and communicate with customers. Apart from this, notifications would also be sent on email and SMS.

Small and medium businesses are responsible for a large part of Freshworks’ revenues. Up to 36% of the company’s revenues come from large customers while the remaining is from SMBs, Freshworks CEO Girish Mathrubootham had earlier indicated.


He said, “As we became more accustomed to using Insping, we built integrations with existing Freshworks products. This changed the way we looked at monitoring our own websites and we saw real value in bringing that technology to SMBs. We wanted to give back to the community and decided to make it free forever.”

Founder of Insping, Sri Venkata Reddy, earlier an executive at marketing SaaS startup, Zarget which was also acquire by Freshworks in August 2017, will now lead Freshping.“Insping had the reputation of reliability in its two-year lifetime and we fully intend to maintain that standing as part of Freshworks,” he said.
