Fireside Ventures makes two senior appointments
Fireside Ventures, a venture fund focused on consumer-focused companies, has brought on board Dipanjan Basu, former chief financial officer of online fashion retailers Myntra and Jabong, as a partner and CFO.

The Bengaluru-headquartered fund has also roped in Aditya Ghosh, former president of IndiGo Airlines, as an advisory board member. Basu will join Fireside by the end of January and will be responsible for initiating and managing new investments in addition to setting up financial, regulatory and investor management processes for the fund.
Ghosh, who recently joined OYO Rooms as CEO for India and South Asia, joined Fireside board in September. He will mentor and advice the fund’s portfolio brands and coinvest in some of them.

The two new appointments has strengthened Fireside Ventures’ top rung both on the advisory and operational management side.
Its advisory board also comprises of Amazon India country manager Amit Agarwal, Marico chairman Harsh Mariwala, and Bain & Company India chairman Sri Rajan. Basu will closely work with Fireside Ventures’ portfolio companies on their business and financial strategies to help them strengthen their financial and regulatory processes.
