MUMBAI: Micro-lending fintech firm Upwards has raised about Rs 32 crore (about $5 million) in funding led by Chinese venture capital firm Shunwei Capital.

The Series-A investment also saw participation from Upwards’ existing investors Mayfield and India Quotient. Founded in 2017, Upwards provides unsecured personal loans of up to Rs 50,000 in over 30 cities and has an outstanding loan book of about Rs 5 crore.
