BENGALURU: Online edtech firm Coding Ninjas has raised Rs 37.10 crore in Series-A funding from Info Edge India.

The Delhi-based company plans to use the money to scale up its online tech education, strengthen both its technology and content, and expand into new business territories. The funds will also be used for scaling up its new offering, Career Camp, an income sharing-based payment model.

“We aim to penetrate deeper into the tech education market and further consolidate our position as the most preferred education partner for millions of college students,” said Ankush Singla, cofounder, Coding Ninjas. The startup was founded in 2016 by Singla, Kannu Mittal and Dhawal Parate to bridge the knowledge gap between colleges and industry. It runs courses in programming fundamentals as well as advanced subjects such as machine learning, data science and web development. The online courses are available in both English and Hindi. Coding Ninjas has a unique Teaching Assistant (TA) model, which provides almost real-time doubt support to the enrolled students. It is a decentralised model with remote TAs, who are ex-students of Coding Ninjas and help in doubt resolution throughout the course duration.
