Chakr Innovation raises funds in Pre-Series A round
NEW DELHI: Chakr Innovation has raised undisclosed funds in a Pre-Series-A round from early-stage venture firm IDFC-Parampara Fund and Globevestor Funds.

Chakr has developed the world’s first retro-fit emission control device for diesel generators, according to its website. The technology can capture over 90% of the particulate matter emissions from the exhaust of diesel generators without causing any adverse impact on the diesel engine.

The company says its device can capture pollution at source, which can be reused as pigments for black inks and paints.

The startup said it will use the funds raised to expand production to cater to the growing demand for emission control technologies and for research & development of new products.

“The technology we have developed has the potential to transform emission control market,” said cofounder Arpit Dhupar.
