BookMyShow’s non-movies unit has a new COO

BENGALURU: BookMyShow has appointed Albert Almeida as its chief operating officer (COO) for its non-movies business, mainly to help the firm take the lead in building an ecosystem for theatre, sports, music concerts and other live events thereby giving their customer base newer entertainment choices. In his new role, Almeida will be reporting directly to Ashish Hemrajani, the founder of BookMyShow. Almeida has also worked with Sony Entertainment and J Walter Thompson across roles.
