Biometric-based PoS maker Mantra Softech bets big on govt projects

For the next phase of growth, the company is developing solutions for airports and metro rail.

Bengaluru: Mantra Softech India, a biometric-based point of sale (PoS) device manufacturer major, is eyeing more government-run projects in areas such as driving license, national population registry, social security to drive faster growth.

Mantra Softech, which has sold more than 2.3 million biometric-based devices across the country, is also expanding its presence in African and UAE markets.

The company, founded by Hiren Bhandari and Bhavyen Bhandari, has sold more than 2.3 million biometric devices across the country. Mantra Softech’s clients include JSW, Tata Group, SAIL, Airtel Dena Bank, Bank of Baroda, Union Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Vodafone, Indian Post Bank and others.


Mantra Softech said its all-in-one biometric PoS terminals have been used in more than 19,661 fair price shops in Western Uttar Pradesh, thereby collectively serving nearly 8.6 million eligible families.

For the next phase of growth, the company is developing solutions for airports and metro rail.

“Mantra Softech is designing state-of-the-art end-to-end security solutions for identification like Airport and Metro solution,” said Hiren Bhandari, Director -Technical and co-founder, Mantra Softech, adding that the company is going to focus on 6-7 launches every year in the near future.
