Ather to deliver 450X eScooter from November

BENGALURU: Hero MotoCorp-backed electric vehicle startup Ather Energy will begin fulfilling customer orders for its new 450X scooter starting November, as the Covid-19 pandemic pushed back the company’s delivery timelines by a few months.

Deliveries for the 450X will start in November in seven cities — Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Kochi, Kolkata and Ahmedabad.

In Mumbai and Delhi, it will begin in December, while Coimbatore and a few other cities will see deliveries start sometime in the first quarter of 2021.


“The pandemic did disrupt our timelines by a few months, but we have been able to get back on track with our plans. We used the time to refine our expansion plan and get the ball rolling on our go-to-market strategy,” said Tarun Mehta, CEO of Ather Energy.
