BENGALURU: Amazon has found itself in another controversy after the company published an incorrect map of India on the brochures for an event of it's Amazon Web Services entity. The brochures were for a summit held in Mumbai earlier this week.

The issue was brought up on Twitter, with calls for an apology from the Seattle-based company.

Amazon issued a statement stating it was taking the matter seriously.

"We take this issue very seriously. We are working with our teams to ensure such inadvertent errors are not repeated," said a spokesperson from Amazon Internet Services, a reseller for AWS cloud services in India.

The company had last year faced heat from Indians after Amazon’s Canada website was found selling doormats that depicted the country’s flag. External affairs minister Sushma Swaraj had threatened the e-commerce company of rescinding visas of Amazon employees post the incident.
