1-IndiaFamilyMart appoints new COO

NEW DELHI: Retail chain 1-IndiaFamilyMart has appointed Venugopal Konchada as its chief operational officer, said the company in a press release today. Holding 32 years of experience, Konchada has previously worked with other departmental retail chains like Vishal Megamart and V-Mart.

Said Konchada, “My idea behind joining 1-India Family Mart is to take this company to the next level as it has been growing at a fast pace since its inception. We will be looking towards bringing in more and more skilled professionals into the business to match up to the scaling business and deliver an unparalleled retail experience...”

IndiaFamilyMart presently has 92 stores across East and North India, said the company. The company’s last fund raise was in May this year, when it raised Rs.20 crores as debt from APAC Financial Services. The company said it intends to add another 40 stores in the current year and 50 stores in 2020.
