KOCHI: A Kochi based new media start up, Southlive Networks, focusing on digital journalism, will go on stream from the first week of September with interactive news both in English and Malayalam.

Apart from Southlive, the News Interactive, the network plans to launch entertainment portals in Tamil, Kannada and Telugu and a Satellite News channel in Malayalam for which licensing formalities have begun, he said.

A Journalism Training Institute of global standards is also part of the project, M P Basheer, Chief Executive Officer and Editor-in-Chief said.
