Midas Touch Award for Best Investor: SAIF Partner's Ravi Adusumalli

BENGALURU: For Ravi Adusumalli, Managing Partner of SAIF Partners, being awarded the Midas Touch Award for Best Investor at The Economic Times Startup Awards 2017, was probably delayed recognition of an investor the public barely knows about.

Given his long aversion to giving media interviews, little is known about the man, who has backed, and then exited, some of the biggest startup ventures that have emerged from this country.

On being informed of the honour, the Salt Lake City, Utah native typically sent a short note of thanks.

“I have been fortunate enough to work with an incredible group of founders, and an amazing SAIF Partners team,” he told ET.

On Friday, the award was received on his behalf by Deepak Gaur, Managing Director at SAIF Partners, in Bengaluru.
