Maid service provider BookMyBai.com gets Rs 1 crore in Round 1 from angels investors

AHMEDABAD: Maid service provider BookMyBai.com has raised Rs 1 crore from 50k Ventures and Vineel Nalla, CEO of NBOS Technologies and founder of 50K Ventures, in its first angel round of fundraising. The Mumbai-based startup has raised the funds at a time when the central government is planning to move a Cabinet note on a national policy for domestic helpers and workers.

BookMyBai.com, founded six months ago, is an online platform to hire permanent domestic helpers like maids, cooks, babysitters or nannies and caretakers. It works through a combination of proprietary database along with aggregation of trusted and verified maid bureaus. The unique selling point of the company lies in its recorded video interviews of the people it offers for hiring. “The funds will be used for expansion.

By the end of the next financial year we will be in over 10 cities across India,” said Anupam Sinhal, cofounder and CEO of BookMyBai.com. The company is currently operating in Mumbai, Pune, Surat, Ahmedabad, Coimbatore and Hyderabad. BookMyBai.com expects to close this financial year with revenue of Rs 2 crore.
