The one-year-old law startup, which is in the process of raising a$5-million seed round, from select institutional investors, enables users to create their own legal documents ranging from specific affidavits to rental agreements, including same-day delivery services for a fraction of the cost one would pay outside. For instance, the startup charges Rs 290 for a rental agreement, whereas typically a rental agreement could cost approximately Rs 1,500 in Bengaluru.
“From creating the draft of legal documents within a matter of few minutes, we have moved on to create an e-signing product that is a part of the Digital India initiative and is backed by Aaadhar. This could eliminate the bureaucracies involved with getting legal documents verified,” said Ashok Kadsur, cofounder of LegalDesk.com.
