Lead Angels starts Hyderabad Chapter to invest in Southern startups
HYDERABAD: Mumbai-based Lead Angels has announced opening its Hyderabad chapter to look at making investments in startups across Southern India.

The network has a presence in Delhi and Ahmedabad and is an alumni-focused group of 70 investors from premier institutions in India such as IIT, IIM and BITS.

The network has so far funded five companies and will be evaluating four more as a part of its Hyderabad chapter. The investments by the network are in the range of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 1 crore, primarily in tech ventures.

Founded in 2013, Lead Angels works closely with student entrepreneurship cells, incubators and alumni networks and also invests in ideas at a conceptual stage. The Hyderabad chapter will work with Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at IIIT Hyderabad.
