HYDERABAD: Global investment management firm Invesco opened its first innovation hub in Hyderabad, opening its doors to the local startup community to build innovative products.

Invesco recently filed a patent on a global enterprise product built out of its city office and the company executives believe that this innovation hub will accelerate their efforts to support such projects with access to emerging technologies.

“Emerging technologies allow us to work creatively together with outside talent without compromising any of our data, integrity or security,” said Donie Lochan, CTO, Invesco. “It is also the pathway forward into the future as we explore a multitude of emerging technologies like blockchain, mixed reality, big data and machine learning.”

The innovation hub aims at engaging with local startups to encourage strategic partnerships that would allow Invesco to collectively solve problems the industry faces. Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia in the United States, Invesco is an 82-year-old company with offices across 20 countries and 6,800 employees.
