BENGALURU: Haptik, an artificial intelligence-based personal assistant service, has revamped its offerings in the food and movies categories, to enhance user experience and drive successful transactions. “People love the idea of chat, but the back and forth exchange of messages means it’s not always the fastest. So, we’ve worked closely with our partners to come up with new chat design elements that make each of these tasks the best way to get them done,” said Aakrit Vaish, CEO, Haptik.

The startup has integrated its services with restaurant listing and food-delivery provider Zomato, event ticketing portal Book-MyShow and Dineout. The revamp was based on feedback received from users over the last two-and-ahalf years. The tasks can be completed end to end by chatbots, which are basically programmed robots that can have meaningful conversations while maintaining the personality of a human assistant.

Haptik helps users accomplish everyday tasks such as finding flights to making a table reservation; from setting reminders to finding the nearest ATM. Haptik is funded by Times Internet.
