Gympik, online fitness platform raised undisclosed pre-series A funding from RoundGlass Partners

BANGALORE: Gympik.com, an online fitness discovery platform raised an undisclosed amount in pre-series A funding from RoundGlass Partners.

“Gympik.com ensures fitness providers reach new clients and consumers find an aggregated list of providers, services, and fitness regimes, ” said Sunny Singh, co-founder of RoundGlass Partners.

According to Amaresh Ojha, co-founder of Gympik.com, the funds will be used to help meet the growing demand, expand into new geographies and hire technical talent.

“The focus on personal health and wellness is growing,” said Karan Malik, COO of Gympik.com, “Our goal here is to make that process as easy and customizable as possible.”

The startup offers cloud based software, a personalised application for fitness centres which can be deployed by centre managers, trainers and consumers to track performance and fitness schedules. The platform allows users to calculate calories burnt based on their specific data and health statistics, basal metabolic rate, body mass index and heart rate, apart from lifestyle and health tips.

Gympik has about 10,000 fitness centres and 6,000 trainers across 20 cities.
