Genext Students raises Rs 1.4 crore from equity crowdfunding platform 1Crowd

BENGALURU: Genext Students, a hybrid ed-tech tutoring platform, has raised Rs 1.4 crore from 1Crowd, an equity crowd funding platform.

The funds will be used by the startup to build its technology, step up its marketing activities and expand its team. "The funds will be used to accelerate product technology development and enhance our marketing efforts. We also plan to strengthen our core team," said Ali Asgar Kagzi, cofounder, Genext Students.

Genext Students offers a combination of private home tutoring and technology-enabled learning across the curricula of national and state level educational boards -- CBSE, ICSE, Maharashtra Board, Rajasthan Board and Uttar Pradesh Board-in both English and Hindi.

Genext Students wants to expand its India presence within the next few years.
