Freshdesk hires seasoned sales leaders to scale midmarket

BENGALURU: Freshdesk, the cloud-based customer support software, has appointed Bobby Jaffari as vice president of sales, North America, and Arun Mani as managing director of Continental Europe.

Jaffari previously held sales leadership roles at Satmetrix Systems, Hightail and Cisco WebEx. He was a key contributor to WebEx’s growth and played a key role in its $3.2-billion acquisition by Cisco. Mani previously headed sales at AppNexus. Prior to that, he worked with McKinsey & Co. and Accenture, Freshdesk said in a statement.

Freshdesk CEO Girish Mathrubootham said Jaffari and Mani will “guide strategic expansion into key regions with a focus on the midmarket… Bobby and Arun collectively bring a deep knowledge of (software as a service) sales and operations to Freshdesk.”

The hiring comes close on the heels of the Chennai-based company’s acquisition of Framebench, an online collaboration platform.
