Edu startup Vidyanext wants to find the right tutor for your child
Company’s new recommendation service uses proprietary algorithm to help parents find the right tutor

Though the startup will still retain the map, the recommendations will be made based on the basic information given by the users — type of tuition, willingness to travel for tuition, and their location. This advancement had to come about as the number of teachers on the platform has gone up, thereby making the map denser.
Vidyanext believes this new service will simplify the problem for parents who struggle to decide which of the many private tuition teachers to choose from. After seven months of studying data, the startup has found that around 90% of customers need only two appointments with tuition teachers to find the one that works for them. Around 99% of customers meet less than five tutors before making a selection.
"Over the last six months, 8000+ tutors have reached out to us and we've verified 1100+ after visiting their sites and testing their academic knowledge. In addition, 600+ tutors have attended Vidyanext training sessions on how to deliver better tuition. We are seeing 99.9% tutor repetition, and 97% student retention," said Kahran Singh,Head Product and Marketing, Vidyanext.
