EDII appointed as nodal institute for start-ups by Gujarat government

Those with innovative ideas in the fields of agri-business, food processing, bio-technology, chemicals, plastics and manufacturing will benefit.

EDII appointed as nodal institute for start-ups by Gujarat government
AHMEDABAD: The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), a autonomous body and not-for-profit institution, has been appointed as nodal institute for start-ups by Gujarat government.

As a nodal institute, EDII will provide counselling and guidance to potential start-ups. Those with innovative ideas in the fields of agri-business, food processing, bio-technology, chemicals, plastics and manufacturing will benefit from this.

Potential ideas will be selected by a special screening committee formed by the institute. The institute will also provide mentorship to potential start-ups.

The state has several business incubators like Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) – IIM Ahmedabad, MICA, NID’s National Design Business Incubator, Centre for Entrepreneurship and Incubation – DAIICT – Gandhinagar, E-Cell of Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University and Venture Studio – Ahmedabad University.
