Digital marketing startup Teritree raises Rs 89.71 lakh in Round 1
BENGALURU: Digital marketing and personalisation startup, Teritree Technologies has raised Rs 89.71 lakh ($140,000) in its first round of funding led by Mauritius-based investment fund KCL and about a group of 10 angel investors that includes top executives from Microsoft, Cisco, Facebook, HP and IBM.

The Bengaluru-based company's technology tracks user activity on online retail sites and continuously records and collates content, making a note of constant customer activity.

"The business model fits perfectly into the rapid growth taking place in the global consumer and businessto business online marketing and personalisation space, which is among the fastest growth sectors on the planet," said John Cook, Director of KCL Invest (Mauritius) and founding partner of Kyron Management Services, a Bengaluru-based global startup accelerator.

Teritree will use the funding to improve its technology and also increase hiring. This is the first investment for the three-year-old company, that hopes to close a second angel round this fiscal.

"We will be partnering with Kartrocket as well," said Tina Mani, chief executive, Teritree Technologies, that has multiple ecommerce clients including Yepme.com and HolidayIQ.com.
