BENGALURU: Daily Ninja, a subscription-based daily needs hyperlocal platform, is in talks to raise its next round of funding from its existing investors — Aprameya Radhakrishna of TaxiForSure, Venk Krishnan of NuVentures and Subramanya SV, former MD at Bessemer Venture Partners — and a clutch of other investors, within the next two months.

“We are looking to raise around $2 million. We are planning to expand to other cities like Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai and Delhi and reach at least 50,000 daily customers. We already cater to 3,000 customers in Bengaluru,” said Sagar Yarnalkar, cofounder of Daily Ninja.

The startup, which delivers bread, eggs, groceries, vegetables and fruits on a daily basis, had raised its seed round in September, last year. “This is fundamentally a strong business model. Since it is daily subscription, it is an app you will never want to delete from your phone. Even on the supplier side it is easier to collect money rather than knock on doors,” said Radhakrishna.
