Craftsvilla.com plans to offer video buying for its online shopping consumers by the end of January, this is in addition to existing image search and personalisation features.

"We want shoppers to get a real feel of the product they are buying, video buys will allow the customer to watch a video and then scroll below to identify the products and prices,” said Manoj Gupta, Co-founder of Craftsvilla.com. “It is important for us to innovate and offer a better browsing experience in order to ensure a growing number of consumers."

The startup claims to have seen an increasing number of customers from tier 2 and 3 cities, approximately a 30-50% rise in transactions.

The company which has over 25,000 vendors aims to increase this number by engaging with merchants in the cottage industry and micro small and medium enterprises in regions across the country.
