BENGALURU: The young team at NestAway has seen it all - the fire of being an entrepreneur, the highs and the lows. Standing by their first idea for five long years, Amarendra Sahu and Jitendra Jagadev joined hands with their classmate Smruti Ranjan Parida to set up the online home rental company in 2015.

The inability to pay the deposit amount and the hassle of finding a home being a single person in a large city was the genesis of the idea.

"Today we have 10,000 single women living with us (NestAway) in a safe and secure environment," said Jagadev.

Receiving the award for the ‘Comeback Kid’ category which honors entrepreneurs who have had a second coming with a successful venture to their names, cofounder Jitendra Jagadev, better known as 'Jitu' thanked the undying spirit of being of being an entrepreneur.

Having once experienced the rush of being an entrepreneur, he spoke on behalf of the ecosystem when he said, "The pursuit never ends. The glister of hope never dies. An entrepreneur never fails. An entrepreneur just tries and re-tries. And the day he stops that, he ceases to be an entrepreneur," said Jagadev.

He also thanked early investors and co-founders of Flipkart, Sachin Bansal, Binny Bansal and founder of InMobi, Naveen Tewari, for taking a bet on the idea.
