NEW DELHI: Cashing in on the significance of Gandhi Jayanti, creative start up ad agency ITSA has started a clutter-breaking Facebook post 'Selfie With Gandhi' to coincide with Gandhi Jayanti today.

The Facebook post, which went live yesterday midnight, tells people they can take their ‘selfies’ with Gandhi wherever they are and post on their Twitter hashtags, Facebook profile posts, and so on.

This, the post says, is possible anywhere because everyone carries currency notes which are printed with Gandhi’s picture. The campaign may continue till January 30, Gandhiji’s martyrdom day, Emmanuel Upputuru, founder, ITSA, said. “We are gauging how people, and specially the youth react to this move,” he said.

‘Keep Gandhi in your heart, not just your pockets. Take a selfie with the father of the nation and donate that bill to a charity of your choice,” the post declares. Upputuru, former Publicis national creative director, said the idea behind the campaign was to connect youth with Gandhi. It also, of course, drums up visibility for ITSA, which presently represents HCL Technologies and American Express.
