Bengaluru-based jobs marketplace Babajob has raised $10 million minority investment from Australian public company SEEK Limited, the largest global online employment marketplace.

The injection will be focused on mobile app development and on improving telephony services, according to the company. Babajob had last raised a Series A round led by GrayGhost Ventures and Khosla Impact in 2012.

"We are honored to be their first investment in India," said Sean Blagsvedt, founder and CEO of Babajob.

Babajob, founded in 2007, focuses on connecting workers to job opportunities in fields including delivery staff, office helpers, drivers, cooks, maids, security guards, and more. It currently has over 2.5 million listed job openings and 3 million job seekers, and counts India's largest ecommerce and consumer internet companies such as Flipkart and Ola as its clients.

SEEK and its affiliates cover markets across Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia, China, Brazil, Mexico, Bangladesh and Africa, and have 3 million job opportunities listed at any given time.
