Bangalore emerges top destination for venture capital dollars

Bangalore has again emerged as the top destination for venture capital dollars, according to a study done by Startup Catalyst, a networking platform started by venture fund Canaan Partners.

Among the most interesting findings, said Rahul Khanna, managing director at Canaan Partners, was that about one-third of all funded companies were launched by entrepreneurs with experience abroad. “These returnees are bringing global market insights and are launching ventures that have the potential to become large global companies,” said Khanna.
