RV Verma appointed as non-executive chairman at AU Small Finance Bank

KOLKATA: AU Small Finance Bank has appointed RV Verma, the former chairman and managing director of National Housing Bank, as a non-executive chairman from April 8 for one year.

Reserve Bank of India has given approval for it.

Verma, an MA in Economics has been associated with the Jaipur-based lender since 2018 as independent director.


The Delhi School of Economics alumnus is also a member of the advisory committee of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India.

RBI has also approved the re-appointment of managing director Sanjay Agarwal and whole time director Uttam Tibrewal for three years.

AU, which started operation in 1996 as AU Financiers begun banking journey in 2017.
