Pune edition of ET Make in India SME Regional Summit to focus on its dual economic drivers — manufacturing and services
Making the best of both worlds, Pune is the upcoming destination for the programme which aims to connect small business, industry leaders and stakeholders.

According to the Udyam portal, Pune has a total of 7,42,262 MSMEs. Out of these, 7,23,723 belong to the micro enterprises, 16,763 to small and 1,776 to medium. The state of Maharashtra is home to the largest number of MSMEs in the country, at 48,49,394. Here, 47,31,865 MSMEs come under micro enterprises, 1,05,306 small and 12,223 medium.

ET Make in India SME Regional Summit is a series of events held across India to bring together local MSMEs, policymakers, enablers and industry stakeholders. These summits aim to unravel opportunities, tackle challenges, and foster knowledge sharing and networking to propel the next phase of growth for Indian MSMEs.
The Pune summit will start with a keynote address on “Building blocks: Policies and Strategies to Help Pune’s Small Businesses”, which will be delivered by Mahesh Kisanrao Landge, Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from Bhosari.
This will be followed by a fireside chat with Rakesh Singh, CEO, ABFL (Aditya Birla Fashion Limited), on “Empowering MSMEs and Driving Financial Inclusion: ABFL’s Vision for India’s Growth”.
Indraneel Chitale, Managing Partner of the Maharashtrian snack brand Chitale Bandhu will give a special address on the topic “Creating a Brand: From Pune to US," showcasing the journey of the brand as an SME.
The SME summit will also serve as a platform providing networking opportunities to local small businesses and industry leaders. They can engage, connect and have an open dialogue.
This endeavour will be conducted under the theme of “Empowering MSMEs: Driving India's Century of Sustainable Growth”, to champion, acknowledge and fortify the Indian MSME sector. It will be conducted by Economictimes.com with Aditya Birla Finance Limited (ABFL) as the presenting partner. Each summit will comprise a diverse array of discussions and sessions, including panel discussions, masterclasses, and showcases of MSME solutions.
