NMBA to fund bamboo-based small industries in Arunachal Pradesh

National Mission on Bamboo Application has said it will provide funds for establishment of bamboo-based small scale industry in Arunachal Pradesh.

ITANAGAR: The National Mission on Bamboo Application (NMBA) has said it will provide funds for establishment of bamboo-based small scale industry in Arunachal Pradesh.

The assurance was given by NMBA Director in-charge and Mission Coordinator Ajay Kumar to newly appointed vice- chairman of Bamboo Development Board of Arunachal Pradesh Yora Tagung in New Delhi on Tuesday, official sources said here today.

Kumar has also assured NMBA's help in providing all technical know-how to entrepreneurs of the state willing to set up bamboo-based industries.

Earlier on July 26, Tagung met Chief Minister Nabam Tuki to discuss development of the bamboo-based industry in the state.

Tuki has assured his government's full corporation for the development of such industries to give a fillip to create new jobs in the state, sources added.

Arunachal Pradesh has several varieties of bamboo which are still unexplored.
