ET MSME Awards 2022: Third edition of India’s most influential awards to recognise top Indian MSMEs now open for registrations

The third edition of ET MSME Awards 2022, which builds on its earlier avatar as ET Rise MSME Top Rankings, will serve as a definitive platform to celebrate and recognise India’s top micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) for their exceptional achievement in business performance and contributions to India’s socio-economic growth.

With registrations open until 31 October 2022, the EconomicTimes.com invites Indian MSMEs across the services and manufacturing sectors as well as key enablers of the MSME ecosystem to apply to be recognised under any of the 26 award categories of the ET MSME Awards 2022.

India’s nearly 63 million micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) contribute over 30% of the country's overall GDP and almost a third of the nation’s manufacturing output. After agriculture, the MSME sector also serves as the second-largest employment generator in the country.

Recognising this growing significance of Indian MSMEs in powering India’s rise as an economic powerhouse, the EconomicTimes.com is presenting the ET MSME Awards 2022 in partnership with healthcare startup Onsurity as Powered by partner, communications company Zoom as the platinum partner, fintech company Vivriti Capital as gold partner, and MSME business accelerator network, Indian SME Accelerator Network as knowledge partner.

Building on the previous two editions of the program, which saw a combined participation of over 18,000 businesses, the current 2022 edition of the ET MSME Awards will invite participation from thousands of MSMEs under a total of 26 award categories, which includes new category additions such as the ET MSME Enabler Awards that focus on enterprises supporting MSMEs in the fields of tech and financing, ET MSME Special Awards Category that focuses on women entrepreneurs and sustainability, and ET MSME Industry-focussed Awards that focuses on industry-specific awards.

Further, the jury members for the ET MSME Awards 2022 features key stakeholders of the Indian MSME sector including Dr. Glory Swarupa, Director General, National Institute for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises; Alok Kedia- Country Head- SME Banking, IndusInd Bank; and Ravi Venkatesan, Founder, GAME, among others.

The ET MSME 2022 Awards - Program Phase
Spanning a duration of over three months, the ET MSME Awards 2022 program will also feature a series of high-impact panel discussions, fireside chats, masterclasses, and presentations by industry experts, policymakers, and top business leaders.

The ET MSME Awards 2022 will be conducted in the following four phases

• Call for Entry: Registration open until 31 October 2022
• Shortlisting and Documentation
• Jury Round for selection of final candidates
• Award Ceremony

The award ceremony for the ET MSME Awards 2022 will be conducted as an on-ground event in a mega MSME conference. The award ceremony and the MSME conference will serve as a defining forum for industry leaders, policymakers, and the entrepreneurial ecosystem to define actionable strategies and solutions to boost the global competitiveness of MSMEs and strengthen the industry.
