ET Make in India SME Regional Summit to debut in Noida on October 24
In 1976, the government initiated the relocation of industries responsible for pollution and overcrowding in Delhi to the outskirts of the region. This resulted in the establishment of Noida (New Okhla Industrial Development Authority), a planned satellite city designed to support industrial growth while offering a better quality of life. Today, Noida is recognised as the “Apparel City,” housing numerous clusters of textiles and garment manufacturing plants that contribute significantly to India’s apparel industry.

Not just textiles, the city also hosts several prominent brands across various sectors, including Paytm, Pine Labs, Libas, Farmley, and IndiaMart. Noida offers a high standard of living, excellent connectivity to major cities like New Delhi and Gurugram, and advanced infrastructure. It has very quickly become a hotspot for entrepreneurs in India.

Recognising its significance in supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in India, the Economictimes.com will host the next session of ET Make in India SME Regional Summit in Noida for the first time in October.
