Gopal Krishna Agrawal , National Spokesperson for the BJP on Economic Affairs, delivers the keynote address at the Economic Times Business Growth Summit, in partnership with IDBI Bank.He points out that employment generation remains a challenge for India, even in the face of strong macroeconomic parameters, including controlled inflation, healthy reserves, and the world's fastest GDP growth.The solution to the challenge, he asserted, lies in manufacturing, with MSMEs as its backbone.He then makes a detailed case for Gautam Buddh Nagar: its expressway network, proximity to major cities and premier institutions, the multinationals already operating, and state and central schemes for small enterprise. His central point was that the government can only build an ecosystem; the work has to be done by industry itself.
