Google’s Chrome is the most used browser in India as it’s the default gateway to the internet on Android, the underlying operating software in most smartphones in India, followed by China-made UC Browser, which a third of users have downloaded owing to its promise of faster browsing, followed by Firefox.

These browsers also keep a record of everything you have ever done, or will continue to do on the internet — the profiles you visit on Facebook or videos watched on YouTube. Mostly, this information is retained to speed-up load times. Here are some of the ways you can make it difficult for snoopers.
