HYDERABAD: Australia-headquartered Planit Software Testing has acquired city-based TenXLabs for an undisclosed amount to foray into the Indian market and serve its global clients from a facility here.

All the 130 software testing professionals of TenXLabs have been absorbed by Planit, which has offices in New Zealand and the UK, in addition to Australia, sources in the company said on condition of anonymity. TenXLabs was a "suitable fit" for Planit, which wanted to be present in India and have an offshore development centre for its global clients. TenXLabs would now function as such a centre. "Planit also wanted to have an access to the Indian market," sources added.

Both Planit, which began operations in 1997, and TenXLabs, a pure play software testing services company focused solely on software testing and quality assurance for new age digital enterprises, are privately-held. Established in 2009, TenXLabs, a division of TalentSprint, has offices in the US and India, and counts ABB, Axis Bank and ICICI Lombard among its clients.
