These days almost all banks provide the facility of opening accounts online.

Opening a current account
To open current account in the name of proprietorship with any bank, you can either go to the near-by branch to collect the account opening form or download the same from the bank's website. These days almost all banks provide the facility of opening accounts online. Here's an example .

All you need to do is provide the Know-Your-Customer ( KYC) details in person. This saves a lot of your time and effort. It usually takes 1-2 working days to open a current account. You will also require to provide your Aadhaar card details when opening a bank account.

Following documents will be required for opening the account
1. Proof of existence of entity - Some of the acceptable documents for proof can be - Trade license/GST Identification Number/SSI Certificate/IPR Registration, etc.
2. Address Proof - Electricity Bills, Lease/Rent agreements, etc. Identity proof of proprietor - PAN/Passport/Voter ID/Driving License/Aadhaar.
