Design guides to Mysuru, Chandigarh released
The students of Trinity College of Architecture recently published two books tracing the distinctive architectural character of monuments and landmarks in Mysuru and Chandigarh.

The books have been written, compiled, designed and edited by the third and fourth year architecture students, a statement issued by the college stated.
“The two books cover all details of the historic cities, starting from their inception. The students have chronicled the growth of these cities in terms of their urban character and design features of the and the recent landmarks,” managing director of K J Educational Institute Vibhavari Jadhav said.
The authors of the book also conducted an exhibition their work, titled, “Elysian”, in their college campus in Kondhwa. “The books were released during the exhibition. The text of the books is well-supported with ample photographs, sketches and maps in a bid to reach a larger spectrum of audience. The books would serve as a focused primer on architectural styles and its evolution in the cities of Mysuru and Chandigarh,” Jadhav said.
“At the exhibition, the projects were categorised as per the academic year and the subject matter. The categories were architectural design, basic design, building construction and materials, building services, landscape, urban studies, rural settlement studies and history of architecture,” principal of Trinity College of Architecture B S Keshav said.
Select photographs taken during the study tours of Gujarat, Nepal, Mysuru and Chandigarh were also put on display. The exhibition was inaugurated by founder-president of KJEI, Kalyan Jadhav.
