KOLKATA: The West Bengal government today said it favoured setting up of incubation centres across districts for honing entrepreneurial skills among individuals.

"The industry should come forward in setting incubation centres in every district of West Bengal", state industry and finance minister Amit Mitra said at the inauguration of TieCon 2014.

He said associations like The Indus Entrepreneurs ( TiE), a body of entrepreneurs, should take the initiative in setting up such centres.

Mitra assured all support in this regard. In his address, he said the state was ahead in areas like services sector growth and state domestic product (SDP) growth in relation to national average.

He said there had been a drastic reduction in mandays lost in the last two-and-half years.
