Accord top priority to power sector in budget: FKCCI to CM

BANGALORE: Apprehending a lower Gross State Domestic Product growth in 2011-12, FKCCI on Monday urged Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda to give top priority to power sector and create land banks with infrastructure facilities in this year's state budget.

FKCCI, in a statement, urged Karnataka State Financial Corporation (KSFC) to be more proactive in extending finances to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises ( MSME).

FKCCI also said the government should take up minor irrigation and dry land farming schemes in the budget as meteorological department predicted deficient monsoon this year.
