Mumbai Angels invests in SkillWiz and MangoSense
SkillWiz, a career assessment company has raised an undisclosed round of funding from Mumbai Angels and other angel investors from India and Singapore. The firm will use the funds for product development, hiring talent, and for sales and marketing.

“This investment is a validation of our team and business vision,” said Kunal Varma, CEO of SkillWiz.

A computer science engineer from IIT Roorkee, Varma founded the company along with Anuj Kacker, a BSc in Mathematics from St Xavier’s Mumbai.

The firm has developed a technology that helps young professionals benchmark themselves against peers and industry needs and take smarter career decisions, based on data-driven analytics.

“The analytical approach of assessing gaps in functional skills of graduates and providing training will improve the quality of young professionals,” said Ashpi Gupta, associate vice president at Mumbai Angels.

Mumbai Angels has also invested in Punebased startup MangoSense, which allows users to create, share and learn from stories using simple tools for mobile and web.
