Store management firm PrimaryIO raises $5.6 million in seed round
PUNE: Storage management firm PrimaryIO has raised seed funding of $5.6 million from Accel Partners, Exfinity Venture Partners and Partech Ventures, reports Priyanka Sangani. The company said that the funds would be deployed primarily to expedite product development. Headquartered in Silicon Valley with a research centre in Pune, PrimaryIO creates solutions for enterprise customers who want to leverage the public cloud in collaboration with their investments in on premise cloud and storage solutions.

Vivek Pendharkar, COO, PrimaryIO said the beta version of the product was currently in customer trials and would be launched within a month. "We work with large enteprises where control over data and data protection is critical to them," he said. It is initially focusing on customers in healthcare, pharma, insurance and the government space.
