StanPlus raises $1.1 million as seed money
HYDERABAD: StanPlus, Hyderabad based medical transportation startup, has secured $ 1.1 million as seed funding for a minority stake from KStart Capital (Kalaari), Insead Angels (Asia) and CM Diamant, a chain of medical centers and hospital in Canada and Africa. StanPlus, with a fleet of over 300 ambulances and more than 60 ambulance operators on board, currently receives an average of 60 plus calls a day and serves 15 hospitals that account for over 2,000 beds.

Prabhdeep Singh, co-founder and chief executive of StanPlus, said the seed funding will be used to increase their advance-life support fleet and expand across geographies, apart from innovating with cutting edge technologies and covering all medical transportation categories in the near future. In a statement, Kstart Capital’s partner Muthiah Venkateswaran said they were confident in the ability of StanPlus “to achieve scale and successfully address the problem of lack of reliable medical transportation services across all areas of healthcare.”
