BENGALURU: Early-stage venture fund IdeaSpring Capital has made its fourth investment in workflow process management startup Zapty, founded by entrepreneurs Arvind Agarwal and Sanjay Shah, who had earlier founded startup Skelta. Skelta was acquired by UK-based Invensys and is now owned by Schneider Electric. The Patni brothers-backed IdeaSpring has put in $500,000 into Zapty.

The San-Francisco headquartered startup was so far bootstrapped by the founders with initial capital from Manav Garg, an angel investor and CEO of Eka Software.

The startup's SaaS platform for cloud-based work management lets vertical teams and departments use Zapty's proprietary micro work flow technology to work independently and collaborate real-time.

“The teams define the processes using the micro workflows we call Zaplets, which are then integrated and automated using artificial intelligence and machine learning,“ Agarwal said, adding that Zapty currently has 1000 customers across US, India and Europe.
