Event-tech startup Hubilo raises funding from Freshdesk's Girish Mathrubootham & others

AHMEDABAD: Hubilo, an Ahmedabad-based event-tech startup, that provides integrated end to end online solutions for event organisers has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from a group of investors including Girish Mathrubootham, cofounder of Freshdesk.

Hubilo, founded in 2015, was incubated at iCreate with a seed fund of Rs 15 lakh and had also received a scale-up grant of Rs 8.9 lakh from the government of Gujarat. The startup offers an user-friendly interface for every event organiser to create, promote, sell tickets, manage and analyse a number analyse a number of events effortlessly. "What fuelled our interest to invest in Hubilo was the growth momentum and we were able to see the growth of the company in terms of the product, traction and team at large" said V C Karthik, Founder at Buzzworks and investor in Hubilo.

The Asian market size for the event-tech industry accounts for $60 billion and is growing at a significant rate of 38% since 2006.
