HYDERABAD: Early-stage investment firm Endiya Partners has closed its maiden fund with a corpus of Rs 175 crore. It has also roped in founder managing director of IndoUS Venture Partners Vinod Dham, who is acclaimed as the 'Father of Pentium', as a venture partner.

Endiya, founded as a spin off from one of India's oldest VC firm Ventureast, had made first close at Rs 100 crore a year ago. Its founders include managing partner of Ventureast Tenet Fund Sateesh Andra, venture partner Ramesh Byrapaneni, and investment manager Abhishek Srivastava. "We have raised the money from four family offices, three financial institutions including SIDBI and LIC and some select entrepreneurs," said Andra, MD at Endiya.

This year the firm is lo oking to invest in at least 10 more startups from areas of technology, he althcare and consumer services. Three of these investments will take place in the next 30 days. The investments will range from `4-12 crore per company, with possibility of participation in follow-on rounds.

The firm's current portfolio consists of four startups, including mobile development toolkit startup Hansel and food technology company Inner Chef, both of which have recently raised more funds. Endiya is scouting for firms that were either started in India with a globally relevant product or have been founded overseas with emerging markets as their target market.
